Jean Pouyat Limoges Porcelain Chocolate Pot, Lanternier and JPL c. 1891-1914

Product Description:  This beautiful 9 ½ inch chocolate pot will add elegance to any room. It is wonderfully decorated in pink, white and dark yellow floral on a green vine with a simple blend of shadowing in the background.  Notice the encrusted, gold-gilt trimmed around the edges of the ornate handle, scalloped rim and decorative footed base.  It bears the Jean Pouyat Factory mark on the base, along with the brown Lanternier mark on the inside lip of the lid.  Although this showy chocolate pot does have a ½” crack on the inside of spout, it still is functional and decorative.

Condition:  Previously owned – used.  No crazing or chips. Clean inside.  Damage with a ½ crack underneath the inside of spout.  There is a raised area directly on opposite side (top) of crack. Under investigation it does not appear to be a recent repair (as shown in last three photos).  Currently still functional and decorative.  No wear or damage to the decorative painting. Normal wear on footed base.
