Antique Pennsylvania 7" Redware Pottery Crock

Description:   From the Pennsylvania region, this earlier redware crock offers terrific character.  You will love the natural age-darkening on the unglazed exterior with a glazed, dark cinnamon-brown interior.  There is one chip on the exterior lip and a small one on the side which adds a bit more character to the piece.  It stands just shy of 7 inches tall with a slightly out-of-round diameter opening of 7 5/8” – 8”.  A lovely, simple crock made by a potter of early days which is a perfect size for a table-top or hearth display.

Condition:  Previously owned – used.  Condition is consistent with age and use. No cracks.   Moderate to dark exterior.  Slightly worn glazed interior.  One chip on the outer lip and one small chip on side (as shown). Slightly out-of-round most likely from being hand crafted.
