Product Description: It is clear the exquisite craftsmanship on this early hand-painted porcelain Nippon ring dish with white, glazed interior. From the Victorian era this amazing piece features a raised, gold gilt beaded motif on all three layers; lid, body and round, pedestal base with an additional hand-painted gold accent around the finial stem. Look closely at the hand-painted berries or floral motif on the lid. On the base, the green, ¼” “Maple Leaf Nippon” backstamp is clear, dating this piece to around 1891. An amazing highly decorative Nippon collectible which could have a variety of uses.
