Large Antique Wicker Woven Wrapped Aqua Glass Demijohn Bottle Jug 20" x 11"

Product Description:  Decorate in style with this original Wicker Wrapped Demijohn Jug/Bottle. In the earlier days, bottles similar to this one stored wine, liquor or other liquid, then wrapped in rattan or other material to assist in preventing breakage or spoilage. This large Wicker Wrapped Demijohn in a tall, wide cylinder form stands   20 1/2 inches with an 11 inch wide body. The original bottle in an aqua color is wicker wrapped using what appears to be two different materials. A charming large demijohn with an impressive presence that will make a statement piece in any room in your home.

Condition:  Previously owned – used.  Condition is consistent with age and use. One wrap on each handle has separated and pulled away and is tucked in place. Some other areas of breakage on body. Due to age, use and movement, breakage of wrapped material is present on the base. Small pieces still have a tendency to fall-out. Many pieces are pulled away and separated. Some tucked in place, others missing (as shown). Please refer to photographs.
