Antique Tin Tole Document Keepsake Box With Original Early Paint - c. 1800's
Product Description: This 1800's tin tole document box with dome, hinged lid is still retains its worn, original paint. The front and sides still having signs of the original, orange fruit and mustard color. Take special notice to the hand-crafted, snap-down latch which has a crafty, rolled bottom. Under the early paint and patina are still signs of folded and rolled edges with hand-soldered seams. A fantastic, early piece of Americana toleware.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age with normal scratches, patina, areas of paint loss, chipping and thinning. Domed lid is a tight fit. Lid opens properly and can stay in place. Snap latch does not snap and may be a piece of metal on latch missing to secure in place.
