Description: This rather large stoneware jar was likely once used as  utilitarian crockery to store or preserve food. Standing 10 inches in a round cylindrical form with thick structured walls, this jar is heavy weighing just over 6 pounds. Glazed brown interior with an exterior glaze showcasing a unique appearance with shades of tan and areas of bluish-gray makes this an exceptional piece of stoneware to display your early American kitchen tools or even seasonal floral arrangements.

Nicks in areas to body and a 1/2" round impact area with a chip (as shown). Color variation - more tan on front and bluish-gray on back. Missing the original lid.
