Antique White Ironstone Salad Plates Set of 6 Wheat CERES Shape Turner, Goddard & Co. England
Product Description: A set of six White Ironstone Salad Plates from the mid-1800s by Turner, Goddard & Co. Tunstall, Staffordshire, England. In the Ceres shape, nicely embossed with a wheat pattern around the edge and an inner scalloped design. Each plate exhibits aging in the form of crazing, utensil cuts, some chips and/or light browning, therefore they are no longer recommended for food use. Although, using them for home décor will add interest, charm and simplicity to your kitchen or dining space. If your hutch or shelves are full, use as a wall hanging display or even as centerpiece plates for your tables. A set of six with a bit of English history for your home decorating.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Each plate exhibits some form of aging and use with crazing, utensil cuts, glaze wear and/or areas of light browning – discoloration. One plate has a nick on rim, a ¼” chip on the backside edge and a 2” hairline crack going inward which does go through to other side (as shown). A 1/4" chip on front edge on another plate. Several plates have glaze wear with some streaks on the inner area of plates and no longer have a sheen. This may have been from dishwasher use. Please refer to photographs. Being sold for decoration only.
