Large Old Redware Pottery Milk Pan Bowl Pour Spout Glazed Interior
Description: From the Northeastern United States region, this early redware pan boasts simplicity and character. A utilitarian vessel with a somewhat primitive appearance once used for food preparation, possibly as a deep milk pan/cream separator. With a 13 inch top diameter which includes a ½ inch rolled lip, this vessel features slightly tapered sides with two applied tab handles. The unglazed exterior with a dark brown glazed interior once held up just under 2 gallons. An early one-of-a-kind piece of redware which is still standing the test of time.
