Antique F.H. Cowden Pottery Stoneware Crock 1 Gallon Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Description: A handsome looking 1 gallon stoneware crock by F.H. Cowden, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Standing 7 ¼ inches tall, the glazed exterior body showcases natural tan color tones with a glazed, dark brown interior. It bears the Cowden impressed mark which is not clear although H. Cowden is mostly readable. A simple Cowden crock which displays very nicely.

Condition: Used. Condition is commensurate with age & use. Considered good. Holds water with no leaks. Impression of Cowden name is not fully legible. Harrisburg, PA is also was not impressed properly, cannot be seen. Incised ring is also not complete around body which appears to be in the making. Exterior: glazing and coloring imperfections, nicks and gauge (as shown). Interior: small nicks and normal wear. Two vertical lines on interior which appear to be scratches. Half of base edge is deformed, indented, not glazed (as shown). Please refer to photographs.
