Holmes & Edwards, IS Silverplate, Sterling Silver Inlaid Flatware Set w/ Chest, Youth Pattern, Service for 8, World War II Era

Regular price $180.00

Product Description:   This is not your typical silver-plate flatware set.  From the World War II era, made by Holmes & Edwards, this service for 8 in the “Youth” pattern is an exceptional quality.  This silver-plate 66 piece set with sterling silver inlaid is made using a unique, patented technique which adds extra protection at the critical wear points.  On most of the used forks and spoons, sterling silver is fused directly to the metal on the most used wear areas before heavily applying the silver-plate coating.  Now the sterling silver is inlaid in those areas underneath the silver-plate, resulting in a longer-lasting, gorgeous set of flatware. Your exquisite set will arrive with its handsome, wooden case and 3 original pamphlets explaining the quality and care.

About this pattern:  A unique pattern which faces two different directions, dependent on the side of the plate the flatware belongs for proper place setting.
