Early Mason's Ironstone China - English Sponge Bowl w/ Lid - Table and Vase Design
Product Description: Using sponge bowls were common during the Victorian period. Many kept their bathroom supplies such as sponge bowls, towel horses, washstands and chamber pots nearby in their bedroom. This wonderful 19th century Mason's Patent Ironstone China - 3 Piece English Sponge Bowl is a beauty. This was acquired from an estate auction and is believed to be the "Table and Vase" pattern. This rare collectible is stamped on the bottom in blue; Mason's Patent Ironstone China and in dark yellow/gold C1197.

Condition: Used - Antique. Noticeable wear around the dark gold colored trim of all three pieces. Small chips on the bowl rim.
