Antique Large Farmhouse Wooden Egg Crate Carrier with Original 144 Egg Separators

Product Description:  Back in the day, many farmers sold their eggs to local stores and neighbors using egg crate carriers similar to this one.  Made of wood, this larger carrier once held up to 12 dozen eggs!  Inside are the "original" egg separators of 4 levels of 36 each.  It still retains its original hardware, nails, wire bail handle and wooden grip.  What makes this one special is the original condition. Its a challenge to find one with the lid and original cardboard egg separators still intact.

Condition:  Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age.  Good condition with minor surface wear and scuffs.  Hardware with slide and lift off top are in working order although most of the locking mechanisms on these early carriers are be a challenge to work with.  Some of the interior cardboard egg carriers may be dusty and have a few holes or tears but overall good condition.  Does not affect the beauty and originality.
