Antique Humpty Dumpty Farmhouse Wooden Egg Crate Carrier w/ Orig. 72 Egg Separators

Product Description:  Back in the day, many farmers sold their eggs to local stores and neighbors using egg crate carriers similar to this one.  Made of wood, this carrier once held up to 6 dozen eggs.  Inside are the original egg separators of 4 levels of 36 each.  It still retains its original hardware, nails, wire bail handle and wooden grip.  Would also be a unique display for Easter or glass eggs.

Condition:  Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age.  Patina is actually a bit darker than shown, due to lighting.  Good condition with minor surface wear and scuffs.  Hardware with slide and lift off top are in working order.  Once turn mechanism in the corner does not turn properly although lid can be inserted and lifted out.  The design on these locking mechanisms can sometimes be a challenge to work with.  A few of the interior cardboard egg carries are slightly worn, one with a hole although overall good condition.
