Antique Redware Ovoid Dark Brown Jug Ribbed Strap Handle 10" Pre-1850
Description: Compliment your primitive decorating with this early redware jug from the Northeastern United States region, possibly New England. In ovoid form, the exterior still has most of its worn dark brown, almost black glaze, most likely Albany. It stands just over 10 inches tall with a bulbous belly that tapers to a round footed base and applied, ribbed strap handle. Even though this piece exhibits damage issues which is discussed under "Condition", it still is a collectible with nice form and an exceptional, primitive appearance.
