Antique Black Wrought Iron Butcher Fork with Rat Tail Hooked End

Description:  During the Colonial times and later, often many American homes were known to prepare meals over a wood fire. Utensils similar to this one used for a variety of needs were hung above the hearth, on a timber when not in use. This early two-pronged fork with a curved rat tail end is made of iron and measures 17 ½ inches long. A durable accent for your indoor/outdoor kitchen or open hearth.
