Antique White Ironstone Tea Pot 8 cups
Description: This White Ironstone Tea Pot from the 19th century is so charming and decorative. It’s rather large measuring 9 ½” tall and 10 inches wide from spout to end of handle. Although not marked, it most likely originated from England due to its nice solid weight and just a hint of blue-gray undertones in certain lighting, like most early English Ironstone. It’s nothing but ordinary with a highly decorative raised leaf and intertwined vine pattern around the top and lower belly and a leaf pattern on lid. Take notice of the fancy spout and ornate handle with scrolling and a raised leaf motif near the thumb rest. A classy piece of ironstone for your next tea gathering.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is considered good. Body has slight blue-gray undertones, more so than whiter lid. One 1/8" x 1/4" chip on on the underside of spout that extends slightly on the lower tip. When tested, may get a "slight" dribble off edge when pouring. There appears to be a vertical hairline on the upper, inside of spout which can be seen in photograph. It does not go through to opposite, backside therefore could be just in the glaze. With this said, tea pot is still fully functional and decorative.
