Early American kitchen tools - utensils were often seen hanging above the hearth on a timber or nearby the fire when not in use. This decorative spatula made of a wrought iron loop handle and sheet metal blade measures 17 3/4" inches.  What makes this one special is the rather large crafted folk art tulip shape blade.
