Antique English Biscuit Barrel w/ EPNS Silver Plate Lid and Handle, Gazebo and Roses

Product Description:  English biscuit barrels date back to around the 18th century in England for serving biscuits with tea.  This charming, double-sided biscuit barrel made of early ceramic material with an all-over glossy finish features a beautifully decorative surface.  In the background is a gazebo overlooking a display of roses on a blended tan surface. The E.P.N.S. silver-plate lid and bail handle will add the elegance and old-time English feel to your tea cart.

Additional purposes:  Don't serve biscuits?  Add elegance to your bath or powder room by using this beauty to store decorative soaps, cotton balls or swabs.

Condition:   Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age.  Glaze crazing and patina on lid, handle and collar.  Inside is shiny and clean with just one glazing pinhole on bottom surface.  No chips or repairs.
