Manufactured by RB Dunning & Co Bangor, ME, it's wonderfully crafted of wood with a patent hinge and fastener with slotted carrying handles. Back in the day, it was considered the most popular egg case on the market. It once held 15 dozen, 180 eggs and it still retains 144 original egg inserts. Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age and use. Condition considered very good. All original nails and hinges and still strong. Original hinges and latch still attached and in working order. Missing piece of wood, right side of back hinge (as shown). Does not appear to effect the functionality. Writing on top of lid. Possibly a previous owner name. Just a few small tears in egg inserts. Overall good condition. Dark patina.
