Antique English Round Butter Pats Dishes Set of 6 Argyle Green & White Floral Swag
Description: A set of six matching round butter pat – dishes from the late 1800s in the Argyle pattern by Wood & Son, Burslem, England. Measuring 3 inches in diameter they feature a floral on a green swag on white that encircles the outer and inner edge of the dish with a glazed finish. Each bear the printed English Registry Number on the back with maker’s name. Signs of aging with crazing, discussed under condition, which can be expected from early china.
Care: Hand wash soap and water, not oven or microwave safe.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age and normal use. No cracks. Crazing is present. Normally we will see a gold trim around the top edge of this pattern, although this set does not appear to have been applied. Edges are discolored with staining in some areas. Old nick on one dish which has discolored over the years (as shown). Potters defects; One dish has green paint splattered on face of dish, on the back edge of top rim appears to be a harden piece/glob of glaze which is believed from the making of the piece, not newer (as shown).
