Antique Victorian Collar & Cuff Box Red Velvet Decorated Exterior
Description: Collar boxes were once used to store men’s removable collars and cuffs from their shirts when not in use. This charming collar box likely from the Victorian era is made of wood, with the exterior body covered with red velvet and embellished with decorative tin trimmings and wood lid. The interior is lined with red silk-like material with cardboard cuff inserts. The interior and lid is a bit shabby although this may make a nice repair or repurpose project.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is commensurate with age and use. Over 130 years old. Exterior and functionality are in good condition. Metal trimmings are in good condition with working hinges. The top lid is missing one tin onlay in corner. Exterior velvet is in good condition with some wear on front lid where it was used to open and close. Interior exhibits wear in the form of rubbing and color wear.
