Unusual Miniature Wooden Stool with Convex Metal Insert ~ ca. 1800s
Description: This early, handmade wooden piece is an unusual one. It's an all original stool constructed of wood with early square and round nails with a round cutout in the top and a double sided convex metal insert. One side of the convex metal insert is a saw tooth design and the opposite side is smooth. It's assumed this piece was possibly made and used as a tool of some sort. An interesting and unique one which could make a good conversational piece.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age and normal use. All original with no repairs. There is a 2 inch split in wood on top on one side that does go through although still sturdy. Opposite side legs have a slight wobble.
