Unique Antique Tole Painted Tin and Brass Whale Oil Finger Lamp Americana Toleware
Description: This early tole decorated whale oil lamp stands 4 ½ inches tall with a riveted, single finger loop handle. The base is constructed of tin with brass body under the painted surface. The base of the neck of the burner is threaded and is believed to be missing a collar to screw into. The base is marked "Made in the United States of America" in raised lettering. A decorative, unique piece of Americana Toleware.

Condition: Previously owned - used. The snuffer cap and chain are still present. The turn wheel which lowers the wick up and down functions properly. The raised lettering on the wheel which most likely identifies the maker is not fully legible due to the painted surface. There may be a collar missing which the neck of burner screws down into. Due to age, normal body wear with scratches and paint wear with dings in surface although, still very decorative. Please refer to photographs as they are part of the description.
