Vintage Wooden Hanging Kitchen Salt Box Made in Czechoslovakia

Product Description:  During the earlier years, salt boxes were a popular staple in kitchens.  Made in Czechoslovakia, this half-barrel shaped hanging salt box is made with staves of wood, attached to a decorative shaped wood backing designed to hang on a wall.  The original nails are still intact on the back with two newer nails holding the lid on the sides.  On the front is the word Salt.  This kitchen collectible offers a wonderful wood appearance with natural surface patina.

Condition:  Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age.  Moderate surface patina.  Two nails on the sides holding the lid do not appear to be original and replaced previously.  Lid works well.
